As some of you guys know i have been working on my family tree
for some time. And I have to confess that sometimes I feel like pulling out my
hair because I hit a brick wall with one of my relatives,( like Grover lol) So
sometimes I find it's better to just put it away for awhile and then go back
later and try again. It seems the Collins family ( my family) is a mystery. So
hard to find any info on alot of them And I never thought I would gt this
far with them, So when I find goodies online like pictures and stories, It
is quite a hi! lol Some of the pics I have found on all sides of my family date
back all the way to the 1800's. So it is exciting to find these goodies. Below
are pictures I have found online from cousins I have ran into while doing
my research. Some I found on genealogy sites. all of these pics were found
online only the pic of of my sisters and I is actually from my own pvt
collection.

All these pics below were relatives from my dad's side of the
family. ( Large,Lovejoy,Collins,)

Now for my Mother's side lol

These are the pics found on my mother's side. (Blackburn,Compton,Childers,And
Castle) I actually was able to gather quite a bit of info on the
Blackburn side. And learned some things I never knew. Things like
some of my family married into the Mccoy family, yes the famous
Hatfield and Mccoy Feud. But the Blackburns were no strangers to
Feuds themselves. They had a feud for several years with the
Johnson's of Pike county,ky, ( haven't found out exactly how it
started yet) but my 4th gr grandfather was found murdered on Sept
1864 in Pike co, Ky as He was walking home from Town. Noone was able
to prove exactly who his murderer was, But It has always been
rumored as being one of the Johnson family Members. During the time
of the feud. Several Blackburns and Johnson's went missing never to
be seen again or they were also found Murdered.

And the sadness that was felt when I realized that my great parents,
Ora and Minnie Blackburn, ( my mother never knew this about her
grandparents) as they had to bury 2 of their Children in less then 4
months. They lost My grandmother's twin sister, Irena Blackburn. at
3months old to meningitis, Only to turn around and loose their 2 yr
old son Arnold Austin Blakburn 3 months later in 1922 to scarlet
Fever.
